Vanillin sugar

Good to know

Vanillin sugar comes in small sachets at European and Middle Eastern grocers. One 8 g sachet is roughly the same as 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix it in with the other sugar or sprinkle it over warm cakes; keep opened sachets sealed so it doesn’t clump.
