This page explains what xawaash.com keeps about you, and why.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which recipes are read, which videos are played and how people go from a recipe to our restaurant. It sets cookies and sends Google the pages you visit, your device and browser, and your approximate location (city or country).
It doesn’t give us your name, email or exact address, and we don’t use it for advertising. Visitors in Europe are asked first.

Comments
When you post a comment, we keep your name, your comment and, if you give it, your email. Your name and comment appear on the site once we approve them; your email is never shown.
Class requests
When you ask about a class or a private event, we keep the details you send (name, email, phone if you give it, and your message) and only use them to reply to your request.
Spam protection
To stop spam, the site keeps a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address and the date, only to limit how many messages one person can send in an hour. The address itself isn’t kept.
On your device
Your saved recipes, meal plan, timers, light or dark theme and your analytics choice are kept in your browser, on your device. They aren’t sent to us, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.
Videos
Recipe videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only load when you press play. From then on, YouTube’s privacy policy applies.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles every request to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.
