(1 cup = 237 mL = 2.4 dl; 1 Tbsp = 15 mL; 1 tsp = 5 mL); all are level measurements
Saffron Rice:
2 ¼ cup (533 mL) Water
1 Tbsp (15 mL) Xawaash Bouillon Powder – Or ½ tsp Xawaash spice mix + 1 tsp salt
½ tsp (2.5 mL) Saffron – Threads
2 Tbsp (30 mL) Vegetable oil
1 cup(s) (210 g) Basmati rice – Unwashed and unsoaked

Place 2 cups of water and the bouillon powder in a 3-litre pot. Bring to a boil using medium heat. Grind the saffron threads. Add a 1/4 cup water to it and mix well.
Add the saffron mixture and the oil to the boiling pot.
Add the unwashed/unsoaked rice and stir well. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.

2 cs (30 mL) d’Huile Vegétale
1 mesure (210 g) de Riz Basmati – Non lavé et non trempé

Verser les 2 mesures d’eau et le bouillon en poudre dans une casserole de 3 litres. Amener à ébullition à feu moyen. Moudre les pistils de safran. Ajouter ¼ de mesure d’eau et mélanger.
Verser la mixture au safran et l’huile dans la casserole.
Ajouter le riz sec et bien mélanger. Couvrir et cuire à feu doux pendant 20 minutes.
